Our estate
A vine in the city, a vine in the vineyard
This urban-rural duality is a strong feature of our estate, located in Vertou at the gateway to Nantes, in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation area.
Here, we proudly defend the colors of Nantes wines, cultivating, among other things, Melon de Bourgogne and Folle Blanche, the two grape varieties endemic to the region.
Our organic agriculture is based on the main principles of agroecology. From our grapes, we create wines as free as the Loire and as creative as the city of Nantes.
Our watchword is balance, which we strive to achieve in our soils, our viticulture, our vines, through our wines and the work of those who work alongside us

Throughout the year, we welcome numerous students, interns and researchers, who bring their curiosity and energy to get involved in our farming practices, our winemaking processes and our marketing initiatives.

Every time we meet you, we share some news about the estate and its development. On a weekly basis, we communicate on social networks, aiming to deliver content that allows readers to understand a little more about the story behind each bottle of wine.
🇫🇷 Nos jeunes plantations observent calmement leurs voisines plus âgées mûrir. Leur tour viendra — dans quelques années, elles aussi seront prêtes pour les vendanges !
Sur cette photo, vous découvrez notre parcelle de Villard Noir, un cépage naturellement résistant au mildiou, qui nous offrira bientôt de beaux vins rouges.
Nous, on a hâte de le goûter… et on espère que vous aussi !
🇺🇸 Our young plantations calmly watch their older neighbors mature. Their turn will come - in a few years, they too will be ready for the harvest!
In this photo, you can see our plot of Villard Noir, a grape variety naturally resistant to mildew, which will soon be producing fine red wines.

🇫🇷 Aux Trois Toits, les idées ne manquent pas — et celle-ci, on y tient tout particulièrement : faire cohabiter vigne et arbres, au plus près 🌳.
Depuis notre reprise du domaine en 2019, nous travaillons à reconnecter nos vignes avec la flore et la biodiversité qui les entourent, notamment à travers la plantation d’arbres. Sur cette parcelle, nous allons encore plus loin : nous avons planté de jeunes ceps au pied même des arbres déjà présents. C`est la vigne mariée.
Les rangs seront complétés dans les prochaines années, pour donner naissance à une parcelle atypique, chargée d’histoire et riche d’un équilibre naturel unique.
Il faudra du temps avant d’en déguster les premiers raisins… mais l’énergie et la vie qui se dégagent déjà de cet endroit nous donnent l’eau à la bouche.
🇺🇸 At Les Trois Toits, there`s no shortage of ideas - and this is one we`re particularly keen on: bringing vines and trees closer together.
Since taking over the estate in 2019, we`ve been working to reconnect our vines with the flora and biodiversity that surrounds them, notably through tree planting. On this parcel, we`re going one step further: we`ve planted young vines at the very foot of the trees already present. This is the married vine.
The rows will be completed over the next few years, giving rise to an atypical parcel, steeped in history and rich in a unique natural balance.
It will be some time before the first grapes can be tasted... but the energy and life that already emanate from this place make our mouths water.

🇫🇷 Travail des sols des nouvelles plantations 🌿.
Avant de planter une nouvelle parcelle, nous semons du sarrasin l’année précédente. Cette culture temporaire améliore la structure du sol, limite l’enherbement et favorise la biodiversité, une étape essentielle pour préparer le terrain à de nouvelles vignes.
À l`automne, nous allons amender en compost et semer de nouveaux couverts végétaux pour un apport optimal de matière organique.
Ce sont des pratiques simples, efficaces et durables, pour accompagner notre vigne dès le départ.
🇺🇸 Soil preparation for new plantings.
Before planting a new plot, we sow buckwheat the previous year. This temporary crop improves soil structure, limits weed growth and promotes biodiversity - an essential step in preparing the ground for new vines.
In autumn, we`ll apply compost and sow new plant cover crops for an optimal supply of organic matter.
These are simple, effective and sustainable practices to support our vines right from the start.

🇫🇷 Les Trois Toits vu de derrière 😉.
Sur cette nouvelle parcelle, nos jeunes plants sont soigneusement attachés à leurs tuteurs. Un geste important pour les aider à bien grandir, droits et solides.
Et pendant ce temps-là… nos vignerons se plient en quatre (et en deux !) pour que tout soit bien fait. Oui, le dos en prend un coup, mais c’est pour la bonne cause !
